Alessandra de Norões Milfont lives and works in Curitiba. She has exhibited her work at various public and private institutions and events since 2012, in locations such as Curitiba, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Pontal de Maceió (CE), and Helmshore (UK). The artist began her career with fashion illustration—using digital drawing, watercolor, and India ink, among other techniques—which led to solo exhibitions, group shows, and awards.
Her achievements include illustrating a print book on fashion and having her work selected for four consecutive years to appear in the e-book for the Fashion Revolution Forum—a non-profit movement advocating for a less harmful and more transparent fashion industry, held simultaneously in major cities worldwide.
Since 2016, the artist has been immersed in the current technological revolution, focusing on the development of artificial intelligence. Her research involves futuristic inquiries into the social, cultural, philosophical, political, and economic implications arising from this transformation. Currently, her artistic output is driven by a growing curiosity about new technologies, AI development, and their consequences. Milfont looks to the future, tirelessly questioning what lies ahead as these technologies gain consciousness.
In 2021, she wrote the *Robotisme Manifesto*—registered with the Brazilian Book Chamber—inspired by Marinetti’s *Futurist Manifesto*. A self-taught painter, she has chosen a visual language that contrasts futuristic themes with the ancient technique of oil painting using natural solvents. The artist expresses herself with such intensity that most of her works are created using the centuries-old *alla prima* ("wet-on-wet") technique. Her style features bold, intense, and expressive strokes, with dreamlike imagery and slightly blurred contours that evoke the sensation of observing a dream. Strong contrasts and lush, meticulously chosen colors permeate much of her work. Their provocative images raise questions about the exponential development of artificial intelligence and its relationship with humans.
